Top Indian Wedding themes for 2021

Weddings are a big affair. People spend their whole lives planning their dream wedding. What they will wear, where and at what they want to have it, if it will be a summer or a winter wedding and whatnot. However, the pandemic has revolutionized the whole wedding industry. Covid weddings have become a thing and wedding planners in India are coming up with new ways to make weddings creative and unique for their clients. 

One such way to do that is having a themed wedding. Escaping the real world only to get lost in some dreamland for a while is what a themed wedding is all about. We have curated a list of all the themes that you can base your wedding on this season. Keep on reading to learn about them.

Royal Vista

If you have always dreamed of having a magnificent wedding then this is the theme for you. Feel like a king and a queen on your wedding day. Dress noble. Have the decoration done that way and ask the people working in your wedding to dress royal too. The best part is that you can choose whichever royal era you like the best for your wedding, be it Rajasthani, Mughal, or Lucknow nawabs.

Bollywood Style

Let’s be honest, Bollywood sagas never get old. And the amount of variety it offers is countless. Choose your favorite era, ask your guests to dress up accordingly, have the decorations set up such that it gives a filmy feel. And don’t just stick to this theme for the d-day, use it for all the events that lead up to your wedding. Better yet, be creative and use a different era in Sagai, a different one in Mehendi, and so on.

Seasonal Theme

This is one of my favorite ones because it comes with a great deal of flexibility and tons of ideas. If your wedding is in the upcoming months, plan a summer wedding. Moving on to the next months brings us monsoon themes (only if it is in the early or late months of monsoon) and a winter wonderland theme. 

Beach Wedding

This is not exactly a theme and more like a venue. But you can create your dreamland far away on a beach and it will look nothing less than a beech. Stock up on tons of sunglasses, sunscreen, arrange lots of different drinks, and get lost with the sounds of waves in the background. Choose a beachy hairstyle and a matching attire, set up stalls of seafood, tie the knot with your partner during sunset with the sky and water playing with colors, dance with your feet dipping in the sand air running through hair.

Rustic

Rustic themes are so in vogue this season. From using banana leaves to serve food to decorate your mandap, there is no other theme like this one. The movie 2 States is the perfect example of a rustic-themed wedding. Using old temples and forts in ruins, bells, minimalistic mandap made out of flowers like Genda, this theme is sure to make your wedding memorable and look like it is out of a dream.
