Important Dos & Don’ts for Goa Destination Wedding Planning

Whenever you start thinking of planning a destination wedding for your special day then the first thing that pops in everyone's head about the place is that it must be Goa. Yes, the place is amazing for that special day, but still there are many other things that you need to take into account when you are planning your destination wedding in Goa. Don't think too much whether everything will be fine or not, all you need is the destination wedding planner in India by your side for everything to be seamless. Here we have a dos & don'ts for you which you need to take into account before planning your wedding in Goa. Let us jump straight in it.

Do's

Ask for all inclusive rates while booking the hotel in Goa. Usually every planned hotel in Goa offers an American Plan All Inclusive rate which includes room stay for 2 people, breakfast, lunch, dinner, pickup and drop as well. So, when you negotiate the room booking for your guest be assured that you get all these services once you book the rooms in any particular hotel.

Compare venues/resorts by visiting the place. Many times people book the venue without even visiting once virtually. Look for the reviews for the place to make your wedding both wonderful & amazing. Online photos may look amazing, but the beach or the ballroom may not live up to your experience. Or you won't like the place when you see it in person.

If you are planning your wedding in Goa then you will need a few licenses, so you can wed without any hindrance. IPRS & PPL licens    e if you have a DJ playing in a 4-5 star hotel & beach license if you have your economy on the beach. Beach license is also mandatory & needs to be taken by your wedding planner in India from the tourism office. This beach wedding license cost around in between 25,000-30,000.

Some Don'ts

Do Not Expand your Guest List at the last moment. If you are planning a wedding in Goa then you have booked everything in advance, in fact many months before. Adding more people to the list will be a major problem to your planned destination wedding only.

Being an experienced wedding planner we suggest not to pay for the guest's travel unless you want to. However, you must pay for the accommodation as the guests are expecting that from you.

If you are expecting to have loud music till midnight then we suggest booking an indoor place as the loud music is only allowed till 10:30 at outdoor venues.

The most important aspect that you need to consider is to avoid the monsoon season in Goa. Which starts from the end of May to the end of September. The weather is unpredictable in Goa and during these months you may encounter heavy rains. But, if you are looking for 50% off on all hotel bookings then this is the best time. Jokes apart consider weather as a very important aspect.

These are  some Do’s & Don’ts which you need to consider if you are planning a wedding in Goa.
